Private Yin Yoga with Kayla

To Kayla, Yin Yoga is about slowing down and turning inward — stripping away the need to do and replacing it with the rebellious act of simply being. Yin invites you to soften, to listen, and to meet yourself exactly where you are.

Her classes begin with guests resting in a position of their choice as she introduces the theme of the practice. She gently eases the body and mind with breathwork before transitioning into slow, meditative movement.

In Yin, breath, props, and surrender are used to hold passive postures longer than in a typical yoga class — usually three to five minutes. This allows the body to release deeply while the mind learns to settle and the heart learns to breathe again.

Each practice closes with a body scan, guided meditation, and extended savasana for full relaxation.

These classes offer an opportunity to shut out the surrounding world and return to your true self — beyond titles, obligations, and performance. While physical fitness is important, Kayla’s focus is on the mental and emotional layers of wellness: creating space for stillness, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion. This is your reminder to be your own best friend.

Kayla is a West Virginia–born and raised mom of two who has found her home in beautiful, sunny Florida. She was introduced to yoga in 2019 and has been deepening her practice ever since. What began as a way to improve posture quickly expanded into something far more meaningful.

After relocating to Lakeland from St. Petersburg in 2025, Kayla felt called to offer others what yoga has always given her — a pause from an otherwise busy and chaotic world.
